Rented to just one group of vacationers at a time, our private beach villas give families the freedom to make the most of each moment, customizing the details of their stay in a way that ensures the trip is truly a respite for everyone. The name “Eleuthera” itself means “freedom” in Greek – and that’s exactly the feeling we want every guest to revel in. 

It’s a fitting location for group family vacations because we can accommodate up to 35 people in our 14 rooms (several of those being double rooms with both king and queen beds). Each room has a full en suite bathroom, as well as direct ocean views right from the front porch/balcony – outfitted with teak chairs and tables. Very few other vacation rentals in the Caribbean – let alone on this small island – are capable of hosting such large, private parties. Sip on an evening cocktail and gaze out at the postcard-perfect panorama from just outside your private quarters. 

Situated directly on the soft, luminescent sands of Alabaster Bay, the sparkling sea stretches as far as the eye can see. Parents can rest easy knowing that the sandbar extends some 900 feet beyond the shoreline, meaning the water is very shallow for a long way out. (For perspective, that’s almost as far as the 85-story Panorama Tower in Miami, Florida is tall.) Within that distance, the waves almost never get higher than your child’s knees.

This idyllic setting is ideal for carefree afternoons filled with sandcastles, beach volleyball, and friendly splash battles. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available near the shoreline for lounging and keeping an eye on the little ones.

Most family vacation groups conclude the simplest and often most cost effective dining solution is hiring local cooks or catering services to prepare gourmet meals right on site. Menus can be tailored to your tastes – ranging from simple sandwiches and side dishes to six-course, full-service meals with cocktails expertly mixed by a hired bartender. 

Located just a mile from Governor’s Harbour, you’ll have quick access to grocery stores as well as some of the island’s most highly-rated restaurants. Still, we can arrange it so that you’ll never need to leave the blissful sanctuary of the resort for meals if there’s a group consensus to stay closeby. That often makes it especially easy for families with small children, who can simply retreat to the quiet of their own suites for mid-afternoon naps, evening wind down time, etc. 

The airy, inviting refuge of the main lodge is a great spot for group meals. It’s also a cool refuge when you need respite from the sun’s rays, but aren’t ready to retire to your own separate quarters. The space comfortably seats up to 40, with more tables and chairs on the broad, breezy deck overlooking the seascape. 

Meet up for mesmerizing sunset celebrations on the beach. Alabaster Bay is known for its sensational skies at sundown. As the golden orb slips lower into the horizon, gather around a laid-back beach bonfire. With no neighbors anywhere within earshot, feel free to continue the festivities well after bright stars blanket the vast, inky heavens with their brilliance.
